Job Title: Events and Engagement Associate

EPG is a publishing, marketing and data business focusing in B2B and B2C within the specialty industries of Beverage Alcohol, Power Sports/Recreation, Horticulture, and Fuel.  We enjoy a casual, family-style culture. We are a small business located within the suburbs of the Twin Cities.

The Events and Engagement Associate will work closely with the Engagement Director in all faucets to help support B2B conferences and B2C events in the Beverage and Powersports categories.  Annual events include the Beverage Alcohol Retailers Conference, Cheers Beverage Summit, Boating Industry ELEVATE SUMMIT, Powersports Business Accelerate Conference, Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Expo, and Big East Powersports Show. Job duties to include but not limited to:

B2B Conference Platform Management:

  • Create websites as needed throughout the event cycle utilizing the InEvent software platform
  • Ensure correct sponsor profiles are entered into platform
  • Execute attendee and sponsor email marketing through the platform
  • Assist and train sponsors/exhibitors in utilizing the event platform
  • Manage attendee registrations within platform and troubleshoot any issues as needed internally or with platform
  • Communicate any update on attendance or sponsors internally on a regular basis

Webinars Platform Management:

  • Create webinars as scheduled utilizing the Big Marker Platform
  • Custom build emails with each webinar
  • Manage speakers and practice sessions prior to webinar
  • Facilitate live webinars with both speakers and attendees
  • Troubleshoot as needed before and during each webinar
  • Create and execute marketing through CRM for all webinars 
  • Maintain all internal communications regarding webinars
  • Communicate any update on attendance internally on a regular basis

Podcast Platform Management:

  • Manage the podcast process after final editing of each MP3 file
  • Upload podcasts to various podcast hosting sites and ensure podcasts are updated on various brand websites
  • Report on each brands monthly podcast statistics
  • Create all marketing messages with each podcast

Ticketing and Floorplan Platform Management:

  • Created all floorplans within platform for two B2C expo shows
  • Assist exhibitors with floor plan software as needed
  • Manage expo floorplan subscription as needed
  • Create and manage tickets utilizing the Ticket Spice software for each consumer show
  • Working with internal resources to ensure proper placement on websites

Sponsor/Exhibitor Support:

  • Creating and managing a master sponsor/exhibitor spreadsheet for each conference/expo
  • Executing communication with all sponsors and exhibitors on deliverables
  • Act as liaison with all sponsors/exhibitor questions regarding all events
  • Communicate information for on-site logistics and support

Event Preparation:

  • Prepare exhibitor pre-show kits and decorator manuals
  • Manage sponsor/exhibitor services orders
  • Manage all name badge files for printing
  • Prepare show shipments and shipping lists
  • Prepare exhibitor records for check-ins and services
  • Order and track event materials

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Business or related field
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Technology savvy
  • Detail oriented, creative, problem-solver
  • Must be comfortable with the promotion of alcohol and cannabis
  • Enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to events
  • Work independently and with a team

Job Title: Associate Editor

EPG Media & Specialty Information is a content, event and information services business with special interest B2B and B2C brands in the Power Sports/Equipment and Adult Beverage Industries.  We employ approximately 50 associates with offices in Plymouth, MN, and Southern California.  We enjoy a casual, family-style culture with a focus on associate and company growth.

We are actively looking for a journalist to fill an Associate Editor role for one of our trade properties. The successful candidate will be a talented editor who is comfortable moving between a number of tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position will be located in Plymouth, MN.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Writing and researching features for print and digital editions
  • Managing content flow during production cycle
  • Working as part of larger team, including assistance with hosting live webinars and live conferences

Desired skills and experience:

  • Two years of publication and online experience, preferably in a B2B setting
  • Public speaking ability, comfort level and confidence a plus
  • Strong time management skills
  • Willingness to travel for trade shows and selected media events
  • Command of the English language, including a firm grasp of spelling, AP Style, grammar, and punctuation rules
  • Clear communication skills and considerable diplomacy when interacting with writers and other editors
  • Ability to manage many different editorial and online tasks at once
  • Experience with electronic publishing software, web design, and storytelling experience with multimedia applications and platforms
  • Experience in the PowerSports and/or Adult Beverage industry a plus.

Educational Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or communications.
